The system is currently in fabrication and will be delivered in the first quarter of 2026.

This new order follows the successful installation and operation of the customer’s PDS Model P-5 and P-50 Dryers, both of which have exceeded performance expectations in production efficiency, product quality, and energy savings. The positive results achieved with these earlier systems led the customer to expand its use of Pulse Drying Systems’ technology to larger-scale operations.

The commissioning was completed on time in just five days at the customer’s facility, showcasing the efficiency and reliability of PDS’s equipment and engineering team. This installation marks another milestone in the expanding industrial application of pulse atomization technology, which delivers improved powder quality, higher yields, and lower operating costs compared to conventional spray dryers.

The P-50 model is designed to meet the demands of high-performance ceramic powder production, providing improved particle size control and enhanced energy efficiency. PCS is pleased to have created its first dryer that is immediately suitable for pharmaceutical grade production.  This requires the use of the finest materials and construction processes to create true pharma-grade drying systems. Our client intends to use this P-5 for small scale production of API and OTC products, along with custom ingredients for other manufacturers. Already, the successful operation of the P-5 has paved the way for this customer to confidently order a 10X scaleup Pilot Dryer, which is the PDS Model P-50 Dryer, featuring 50 pounds per hour of evaporation.  This new P-50 is entered fabrication at the PDS facility in Payson, Arizona on April 1, 2024 and is expected to ship in November, 2024.
